Our First Date

It's supposed to be a routinely & ordinary day But you asked me to go out on this lovely summer in May, I smiled widely knowing you got my own signal of okay The part where I can sing merrily and play.

Nervous, yes, I am since I do not know what'll come, But when I offered my hands, I knew you were the one. Here with you, I see myself smiling with so much joy, I wouldn't waste such opportunity nor would I play coy.

I slowly walked towards your side while gazing into your eyes You showered me with “You Are Beautiful”, I mentally dies, My tongue got stuck, my heartbeat suddenly stops You never leave me with your stare while you whisper “Am I dreaming or what?”

As the sun begins to set, memories eventually pictured, Smiles, laughter’s and small talks— in glee, I whispered. I could look at your face for eternity, Much was true what I told you with certainty.

You took me to a lovely place not very far You threw jokes and sang songs while we ride in your car I remember feeling butterflies in my belly and legs shaking like jelly You held my hand, smiled and said that you are more than happy.

The unexpected first date turned out to be the best, With your smiles that made my day restless. Praying and hoping this wouldn't end, For I am with the woman I look forward to be more than friends.
